Between the end of the fall season of lessons and the beginning of the winter session is a roughly 6-week gap. How are horses and riders to keep fit? Winter Break Clinic!
The past Winter Break Clinics saw approximately 88+ riders who rode in 254 private and group lessons per year. Eight instructors took part in the clinics, with lessons which included both English and Western and ranged from beginner levels to advanced flat and jumping.
Lord Stirling Stable's certified instructors will be available November 23 through December 19, 2020to share their experience with one to three students for a one-hour lesson. This can be videotaped with the option to review the tape with the instructor afterward. Pre-registration is required.
Riders are provided the option to select their instructors and horses, gaining the opportunity to have a fresh perspective from a different instructor and perhaps trying out a never-before-ridden horse. Much appreciation goes to Martha Wells, Winter Break Clinic coordinator, for organizing the clinic.
For more than 40 years the Friends of Lord Stirling Stable have supported the equestrian programs at Lord Stirling Stable.
